I’m Game, the Malayalam action thriller starring Dulquer Salmaan, has seen a sharp decline in box office collections in the week following its opening weekend. According to Sacnilk, the film has collected ₹22.58 crore net in India, with Day 8 collections currently underway.
The film opened on September 3 and earned ₹5.40 crore from 2,727 shows, with an overall occupancy of 42.8 per cent. Day 2 observed a collection of ₹4.90 crore from 3,145 shows at 37 per cent occupancy, while Day 3 minted ₹4.35 crore from 3,014 shows at 34.4 per cent occupancy.
The collection remained steady on Day 4, earning ₹4.35 crore from 2,910 shows at 36.6 per cent occupancy. However, collections dropped significantly on Day 5, with the film earning ₹1.50 crore from 2,610 shows and recording an 18.2 per cent occupancy.
On Day 6, I’m Game collected ₹1.12 crore from 1,856 shows, with occupancy standing at 19.3 per cent. Collection shrank further on Day 7, with the film owning just ₹0.92 crore from 1,819 shows at 16.4 per cent occupancy. The film failed to cross the ₹1 crore mark on the seventh day.
Day 8 is still in progress. Sacnilk reported that the film was running across 274 shows and had recorded ₹0.04 crore in India net collections so far, with 13.9 per cent occupancy. These are live figures, and the final Day 8 collection will be available later in the day.
So far, I’m Game’s first-week total stands at ₹22.58 crore. Despite the evident decline in occupancy, the movie has still garnered more than the first-week collection of Salmaan’s 2023 Malayalam King of Kotha, which stood at just ₹17.54 crore.
The film’s eventual second-week performance will depend on whether it can improve its occupancy through the later shows.
