Stephanie Grisham, former White House press secretary, whose memoir puts former US president Donald Trump in an unflattering light, is being sued by her ex-boyfriend. Max Miller, an Ohio congressional candidate belonging to the Republican Party, filed a defamation suit against Grisham.

Stephanie Grisham, in her book, ‘I Will Take Your Questions Now,’ writes about how, at the G20 summit in 2019, Trump said, Trump that he and Putin should both “get rid” of journalists who published “fake news”, saying: “You don’t have this problem in Russia”. Putin responded, “Yes, yes, we have too, the same”. In the book, Grisham compares Melania Trump to Marie Antionette and reveals internal rifts in the Trump family.

In her tell-all book,   'I’ll Take Your Questions Now: What I Saw At The Trump White House', Grisham had stated that Miller physically abused her during their relationship, but does not name him. According to sources close to Grisham, Miller pushed her against a wall and slapped her after she accused him of infidelity. Washington Post had reported that Grisham had even told the then-first lady and president that an unnamed ex “had become violent” but both “seemed totally unfazed about whether there was an abuser—another abuser—in their workplace”.

Miller filed a 13-page complaint against Grisham for making 'libellous and defamatory statements about him. Grisham, during an earlier interview with CNN, had said that there was abuse in every way in the relationship between her and Miller.
