Elon Musk and his girlfriend, Canadian singer Grimes, are "semi-separated" after three years together, the chief executive of Tesla and SpaceX told Page Six on Friday. Clarifying on what ‘semi-separated’ means, Musk said that she still lives at his house in California and they continue to raise their 1-year-old son X Æ A-Xii Musk together. He added that they are on good terms and love each other.
“It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas and her work is primarily in LA. She’s staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room,” he told Page Six.
Grimes whose real name is Claire Boucher, and Musk were dating since 2018. The couple made waves with their first public appearance together at the Met Gala in 2018, surprising both the music and business worlds.
Musk has had six children from previous relationships. One of them died as a baby. He has been married three times, including twice to “Westworld” actress Talulah Riley. Grimes has not been married, and her son with Musk is her first child.
