Here are the world leaders who have tested positive for COVID-19 so far

Even as people being cured of COVID-19 is rising, the virus is spreading out and it has affected some world leaders. Here are world leaders who have been infected by the virus.

Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau, wife of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was tested for coronavirus and the prime minister's office on Thursday said that Mrs Trudaeu has been tested positive. PM Trudeau has gone under self-isolation and is working remotely. Mrs Trudeau too is under isolation and is taking all recommended precautions as the disease is currently in a mild stage.

British MP Nadine Dorries, a minister in the health department, tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday. Dorries, who helped craft the legislation to fight the bug, is the first British politician to be diagnosed with COVID-19.

Spanish cabinet minister Irene Montero tested positive for the deadly COVID-19 on Wednesday. Post Montero being tested positive, she, and her partner have been sent into isolation. Spain's cabinet and the royal family too underwent testing for coronavirus on Thursday. So far, there are 3,869 cases of COVID-19 in Spain.

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro's communications director, Fábio Wajngarten tested positive for coronavirus, that has killed more than 5,000 people around the world. Wajngarten tested positive for the virus on Thursday, merely days after he met with US President Donald Trump.

Australia's Home Affairs Minister, Peter Dutton, confirmed on Friday that he had tested positive for COVID-19. Dutton had been in the US and met with Ivanka Trump and the US attorney general on March 6.
