In what comes as a positive development for the Indian men's team, head coach Gautam Gambhir is set to rejoin the team in England on Tuesday (June 17). The 43-year-old had flown to India on June 12 following a family emergency. His mother had to be hospitalised following a cardiac arrest and had been kept in the ICU at that point, forcing Gambhir to fly home from England temporarily.
According to the latest reports from RevSportz Global, Gambhir's mother has been recovering positively. After careful consultations with the medical staff, Gambhir has decided to return to England.
The Indian team is expected to travel from London to Leeds on Tuesday, with the team expected to reach the city by evening. With it being a travel day, there will be no practice sessions on Tuesday for the team.
