Kohli offers Harry Kane a spot in RCB squad!

Kohli was responding to a tweet by England’s Harry Kane

The Royal Challengers Bangalore may not have won a single cup in the IPL, but they are undoubtedly one of the most popular sides of the league. Over the years, the team has attracted some of the best cricket players in the world. RCB has now caught the eye of an unlikely suitor. England Football National team player Harry Kane has asked whether he could play for the team!

“Got a match winning T20 knock in me I reckon. Any places going for @RCBTweets in the @IPL next season @imVkohli??”, said Kane in a post on Twitter. The England and Tottenham Hotspur forward posted a video on twitter which showed him playing tennis ball cricket in an indoor location along with his football team mates. Kane could be seen playing some good shots before getting bowled towards the final second of the video.

Kane had tagged RCB, Virat Kohli and the IPL accounts in the tweet. The tweet soon got a response from none other than RCB captain Virat Kohli. Virat responded to the video saying he could be considered as a counter attacking batsman. “Haha good skills mate. Maybe we can get you in as a counter attacking batsman @HKane”, said Kohli in his reply on Twitter.

RCB too had responded to Kane’s tweet asking whether he would like the ‘No 10’ jersey to which Kane responded saying he was looking forward to it.

Kohli is currently leading India in a series down under in Australia. India lost the first of the three-match ODI series which saw some blistering knocks from the Australian batsmen. Kohli however, was unable to make an impact in the game. Kane on the other hand is leading the goal scoring chart for Tottenham with seven goals to his name. Tottenham are currently top of the table in the Premier League.
