India bowled out West Indies for 311 in their first innings of the second Test on Saturday. Overnight batsman Roston Chase completed his fourth test century, topscoring for his side with 106. India paceman Umesh Yadav registered a career-best 6-88, while left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav claimed 3-85.

Chase, who scored 137 to deny India a victory in a Test match in Jamaica back in 2016, showed the much-needed application on Friday with requisite technique as Indian bowlers struggled after polishing off the top half for only 113 runs. Following his streak, he completed his century on Saturday but fell to Yadav soon after his century.

India has commenced batting and has reached 75 for the loss of one wicket in 15 overs. K.L. Rahul (4) was bowled out cheaply by Jason Holder. Prithvi Shaw has scored a frenetic half-century of just 41 balls and looks to continue his batting blitzkrieg from the Rajkot Test. Cheteshwar Pujara is also at the crease, securing five runs from 16 balls.

India had won the series-opener in Rajkot by an innings and 272 runs.
