Dubai will soon get the world's tallest well-being resort titled 'Therme Dubai' at Zabeel Park. The resort that will open in 2028 will be built at a height of 100 metres, announced Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.

The resort spans over an area of 500 thousand square feet and will have three areas which will focus on 'restoring, relaxing and playing'. There will also be an interactive garden. "This innovative project reflects our commitment to enhancing urban biodiversity and environmental sustainability, and creating enriching experiences for Dubai's residents and visitors," said the Crown Prince.

The government has allocated Dh2 billion towards the development of the new landmark, reported Khaleej Times. The resort will also have an interactive park and the world’s largest indoor botanical garden and can cater to 1.7 million visitors annually.

The resort is being planned under Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033, a project that aims to turn Dubai into the world’s best city to live in. The project envisages the development of over 200 parks, expanding cycling tracks on beaches, extending the length of night swimming beaches and designating new beaches exclusively for women.

As part of the project, every residential community will have landscaping and distinctive architectural gateways.  More than 3,000 trees and plants will be planted. This is besides the 216,500 trees that were planted across Dubai in 2024, which was a 17 per cent rise from 2023. This translated to an average of 600 trees being planted every day last year.
