The BJP is expected to announce its new team on Monday, with party president Nitin Nabin unveiling the reshuffle. Reports indicate that former ministers Smriti Irani and Anurag Thakur are set to return to the party's national organisation.

The new team is expected to balance experienced leaders with a new generation of faces, giving strong representation to youth and women.

Driven by recent CJP protests and the rise of Gen Z, the party's reshuffle reflects a generational shift ahead of upcoming state elections.

In 2027, elections are scheduled in several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa, Manipur, Himachal Pradesh, and Gujarat.

According to BJP leaders, the transition to a younger team had long been on the cards after the party elevated Nitin Nabin, 46, as its youngest-ever chief.

It remains to be seen whether Dharmendra Pradhan, whose exit was the primary outcome of the CJP movement, will be accommodated in the party organisation.
