Ketan Agarwal and Siya Goyal's pre-wedding photoshoot in Bali was abruptly cancelled after she allegedly stole his passport on the way to Mumbai airport. The testimony of the cab driver who drove them to the airport has brought to light how Siya managed to steal the passport without anyone else noticing, according to a report.

A police investigation suggests this was a deliberate act of sabotage, which could be used as circumstantial evidence in the probe into Ketan's murder at Lohagad Fort in Pune district. Goyal, 20, and her 'lover' Chetan Chaudhary, 22, have been arrested for allegedly plotting to kill Ketan, 26, and pushing him off Lohagad Fort on June 18.

The dramatic events unfolded on June 6, when Siya and her fiance, Ketan, were heading from Pune to Mumbai to catch a flight to Bali. However, the dream trip was derailed when Ketan discovered his passport was missing upon arrival at the airport.

The driver of the cab, Vaibhav Jadhav, provided a startling account of the journey, suggesting that the trip began under tense circumstances, reports NDTV. He claimed that Siya and her brother, Sahil Goyal, were among those who were picked up in Pune.

According to the driver, Sahil held Siya’s hand and "forcibly made her sit inside the vehicle." He also alleged that Siya and her brother had an argument during the drive between Pune and Ravet.

Later, Ketan Agrawal and some of his family members joined them from Kiwale Lodha area, and they continued their journey towards Mumbai. The cab driver stated that the group stopped at a food court for tea and snacks.

Jadhav claimed he witnessed Siya return to the car alone, telling the group she needed to get something. He said he noticed her remove "certain belongings from the vehicle, keeping them in her pocket," according to the news outlet.

After dropping everyone off at Mumbai Airport, the driver received a call from Ketan, who informed him that his passport had been left behind in the car. A search of the vehicle yielded nothing, and the trip was eventually called off.

Ketan's father, Vijay, immediately suspected foul play. He recounted the sequence of events, highlighting how carefully the travel documents were handled.

"While leaving home, only four people were in the car: my daughter, my son, Siya, and Siya's brother, Sahil. Everyone checked their passports while sitting in the car, and all the passports, currency, credit cards, driving licences, etc, were kept in a single pouch. That pouch was in the car itself," he recalled.

"They stopped at a food mall. At the food mall, Siya said she forgot her mobile and went back to the car to get it. After arriving at the airport, everyone had their passports except Ketan. Only Ketan's passport got stolen. Because of that, he couldn't go and had to return from the airport," Ketan's father revealed.

A police official confirmed that their investigation points to Siya deliberately sabotaging the trip. "Our probe showed that after stealing the passport from the car at the food mall at Khalapur, Siya dumped it in the women's washroom," PTI quoted senior police inspector Dinesh Tayde as saying. "While we are probing the murder, a team will also be sent to the mall to see if the passport can be retrieved."
