Bihar new CM: See probable list of Cabinet members as NDA to select new CM tomorrow

Bihar's political landscape is set for a major shift as the BJP-led NDA prepares to select its new legislative party leader

In a major development, the BJP-led NDA is all set to choose its new legislative party leader in Bihar on Tuesday, capping month-long speculations regarding who will helm the eastern state after JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar. As per reports, the new Chief Minister will be from the BJP, and the name will be revealed by evening.

On Tuesday morning, Nitish Kumar will hold his final cabinet meeting, after which he is  expected to resign. Immediately afterwards, a meeting of the BJP legislative party will  elect a new leader. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has been appointed as the observer for this meeting.

There are reports that a crucial meeting of the JD(U) is underway at Nitish Kumar’s residence to decide the fate of Nitish’s son, Nishant Kumar. As per reports, the final decision will come at the  crucial meeting of the JDU legislative party to be held on April 15th at Ek Aney Marg. Party MLAs will attend the meeting to discuss the selection of the JDU leader. A strategy for forming a new government will also be decided. According to sources, this meeting may also discuss Nishant Kumar and decide on his role. This JDU meeting is considered extremely important amid coalition politics, as it could determine the direction of future political dynamics.

Probable Cabinet

While deputy chief minister Samrat Chaudhary continues to be the frontrunner for the post, the names of Nityanand Rai and Renu Devi are also being discussed. It is likely that  a final decision will be made tomorrow.

From JD(U): Deputy Chief Minister- Nishant Kumar, Vijendra Yadav, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Shravan Kumar, Ashok Chaudhary, Leshi Singh, Madan Sahni, Jama Khan and Sunil Kumar.

The probable names from allies, HAM, LJPR, RLM, include Santosh Kumar Suman, Sanjay Paswan, Sanjay Kumar Singh and  Deepak Prakash.

From the BJP, Vijay Kumar Sinha, Mangal Pandey, Ramkripal Yadav, Dilip Jaiswal, Shreyasi Singh, Lakhendra Paswan, Rama Nishad, Pramod Kumar Chandravanshi, Arun Shankar Prasad and Sanjay Singh Tiger might get berths.
