At least three people were killed and several others injured after a private bus collided with a container lorry and caught fire in Andhra Pradesh’s Nandyal district in the early hours of Thursday.
According to reports, the accident occurred around 1.30 am on the Bengaluru–Hyderabad National Highway. The bus driver reportedly lost control after a tyre burst, causing the vehicle to cross the divider and crash head-on into a lorry travelling in the opposite direction.
Both vehicles caught fire following the collision. Most passengers were rescued by local residents, while fire services and police worked for several hours to bring the blaze under control.
