The Jammu and Kashmir Police's State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Saturday detained a man in connection with the November 10 blast near Delhi's Red Fort, that killed at least ten people.
Identified as Tufail Niyaz Bhat, an electrician from Srinagar's Batamaloo area, he has been suspected of involvement in the 'white collar' terror module.
Though Bhat's role in the blast has not yet been revealed to the public, a local CID official told Hindustan Times that there was now concrete evidence linking the electrician to the blast (and its planning).
The case so far
The arrest of four prime accused in the 'white collar' by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Srinagar on Thursday has brought the total arrest tally in the case to six.
The four—identified as Dr Muzammil Shakeel Ganai, Dr Adeel Ahmed Rather, Dr. Shaheen Saeed, and Mufti Irfan Ahmad Wagay—were suspected of links to a "terror" module, and were also reportedly linked to the seizure of almost 3,000kg of explosives at Haryana's Faridabad.
