The Yamuna river in New Delhi was reportedly flowing near the danger mark with water level reaching up to 205 metres near the Old Yamuna bridge, according to DD News.
Waterlogging and traffic disruptions were reported in some areas. Moderate to heavy rainfall is likely to continue for the rest of the day. A radar animation prepared by IMD showed moderate to intense convective clouds during last few hours over Delhi, Haryana and other nearby regions indicating moderate to heavy rainfall over the region.
Indian Meteorological Department has predicted intermittent rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in Delhi-NCR until August 31. The national capital is expected to see generally cloudy skies till August 29.

IMD said Delhi recorded 13 mm rain in the last 24 hours ending 8.30 am on Tuesday. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) said the average AQI in Delhi has improved and was recorded at 56, which comes under 'Satisfactory' category.
On Tuesday afternoon, the weatherman sounded a red alert for South Delhi, West Delhi, Northwest Delhi, Southwest Delhi and New Delhi districts. Haryana's Gurugram was also put under red alert.
An orange alert was issued for Southeast, East and North Delhi while East Delhi, Uttar Pradesh's Noida and Ghaziabad were put under yellow alert. The alerts lasted till 4.45 pm on Tuesday.
Air India, Spicejet and Indigo have released travel advisories for passengers as flight operations could be affected and asked passengers to check their flight status on the website before heading to the airport.
