Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aircraft suffered a technical snag at Jharkhand’s Deogharairport on Friday, delaying his return to Delhi. According to reports, the aircraft will now have to remain at the airport until the technical issue is fixed.
The prime minister was in Jharkhand today to take part in Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of revered tribal leader Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
Addressing the event, Modi said the previous Congress regimes at the Centre failed to recognise the contributions of tribal communities in India’s freedom struggle. Indirectly referring to the Gandhi family and the Congress, Modi said, "The attempt was to give all the credit to just one party and one family. "If our country got independence because of one family, then why did Birsa Munda launch the 'Ulgulan' movement?", PTI reported.
