Union Home Minister Amit Shah released the Bharatiya Janata Party’s ‘Sankalp Patra’, its poll manifesto for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly polls on Sunday. Taking a dig at the Congress party and its chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Shah appreciated the opposition party leader for “accepting” that the Congress has failed to fulfil its poll promises.

Addressing presspersons after releasing the manifesto, Shah said, “We(BJP) have addressed all our promises and in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana, the Congress party has failed to fulfil its promises. I congratulate Kharge sahab on accepting that they have failed to fulfil the promises,” ANI reported. Shah said the voters in Jharkhand
should take note of Kharge’s acceptance and evaluate the poll promises of both the parties.
Reportedly, Kharge recently told his party leaders to make only those promises that are fiscally doable. Prime Minister Narendra Modi slammed the Congress leader for making false promises during elections. Modi had said, “Campaign after campaign they promise things to the people, which they also know they will never be able to deliver. Now, they stand badly exposed in front of the people!" He added, “Campaign after campaign they promise things to the people, which they also know they will never be able to deliver. Now, they stand badly exposed in front of the people.”
Amit Shah releases BJP manifesto
Releasing BJP’s manifesto for Jharkhand Assembly polls, Shah said the Uniform Civil Code will be introduced in Jharkhand, however, the tribes in the state will be kept out of its ambit. “Our government will introduce UCC in Jharkhand but tribals will be kept out of its ambit. The JMM government is making false propaganda that UCC will impact tribal rights and culture, which is totally baseless as they will be kept out of its ambit," PTI reported quoting Shah.
