In the 2019 elections, the BJP  put up a dominant show by winning nine of the ten seats it contested. None of the other NDA allies managed to win any seats in Assam while the Congress won 3 seats. The AIDUF and an Independent candidate won a seat each, data showed.

This time, the BJP is fighting from 11 seats while its alliance partners - the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and the United Peoples' Party Liberal (UPPL) got two and one seats respectively.

The Congress, a constituent of the 16-party United Opposition Forum Assam (UOFA), contested in 13 seats and left the Dibrugarh seat for the Assam Jatiya Parishad while the AIUDF contested in three and AAP in two.

What are the exit polls predicting for Assam?

The Bharatiya Janata Party is estimated to secure 10 to 13 out of the 14 Lok Sabha seats in the state while the Congress and AIDUF are expected to win one seat each. Some other pollsters have predicted that the INDIA bloc may get 2-5 seats.
