Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Kerala and said the “crown prince of Congress” is finding it difficult to protect the honour of family seat in Uttar Pradesh. Incidentally, Rahul Gandhi is also campaigning in Kerala on Monday.

Addressing the Bharatiya Janata Party’s poll rally in Palakkad, Modi said, “A big leader of Congress has found it difficult to save the respect of his family seat in Uttar Pradesh and has made his new base in Kerala. The crown prince of Congress will ask for votes from the people of Kerala but will not say even a single word on your issues.” Highlighting SDPI’s support for Congress this election, Modi said, “To win the elections, Congress has entered into a backdoor agreement with the political wing of an organization which has been banned in the country for its anti-national tendencies.”

The prime minister also attacked the Communist Party of India (Marxist)-led government in Kerala and charged the state government is hindering the Centre’s development programmes in the State. “The state government is also hindering the efforts that the NDA government is making for the development of Kerala and the region,” he said.

The prime minister said the BJP-led union government has enhanced India’s credibility across the world. “The Congress government had created the image of India as a weak country. The BJP government has made India a strong country. Today when an Indian goes abroad, he is treated with respect. Today, India has the power to rescue its citizens trapped in war. Today, India does not look towards other countries in an epidemic like COVID; we make indigenous vaccines. Along with our country, we also help other countries of the world.”
