The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has released new photographs of the suspect linked to the blast at the Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru and sought citizens’ cooperation to identify him.

"NIA seeks citizen cooperation in identifying the suspect linked to the Rameswaram Cafe Blast Case. Call 08029510900, 8904241100 or email to info.blr.nia@gov.in with any information. Your identity will remain confidential," the anti-terror agency said in a post on X on Saturday.

The NIA has already offered a reward of Rs 10 lakh to find the suspect, whose image has been captured on CCTV.

At least 10 people, including customers and staff, were injured after a low-intensity blast occurred at the Brookfield outlet of the eatery on March 1.

The NIA and the Central Crime Branch have detained a cloth merchant from Kaul Bazaar in Ballari and a Popular Front of India (PFI) cadre, though the key accused remains at large.

The investigators suspect that the PFI member was part of the conspiracy and that he had proximity to some terrorist organisations. He is believed to have brainwashed many people, including the man who planted the bomb.

The investigation teams have also found that the key suspect has travelled from Bengaluru to Tumakuru, Ballari, Bidar and then Bhatkal after planting the bomb at the cafe.

CCTV footages captured by the cameras at the city bus and bus stand shows him that he frequently changed his dress to hide his identity and mislead the investigators, reported PTI.
