An Improvised-Explosive Device (IED) was found inside a bag in old Seemapuri in Delhi on Thursday.
The special cell of the Delhi Police recovered the bag while conducting searches in the area after receiving a phone call about “suspicious-looking bag” in an abandoned house, say media reports.
The police informed the National Security Guard (NSG) teams, who reached the spot and picked up the bag, after confirming the presence of explosives in it.
The bomb disposal squad, the NSG, Delhi Fire Services, and the Delhi Police were at the spot. The NSG will take the bag to a safe spot and diffuse it.
The house from which the bag was found belonged to a contractor who had rented it out to a few young men who are absconding.
A month ago, the NSG had found IED from an unattended bag found at the Ghazipur flower market in East Delhi.
