Seven months after he left his fans dejected by announcing he would not join 'active politics’, is Tamil superstar Rajinikanth having second thoughts?

Rajinikanth told reporters on Monday that he would take a decision on whether to enter politics after discussing with office bearers of the Rajinikanth Makkal Mandram (RMM), his fans’ association.

"Questions about whether the Mandram should continue or not; what are the duties of the Mandram hereafter and whether I would be entering politics in future or not are lingering in the minds of the office-bearers of RMM as well as my fans. I will discuss these issues with the office-bearers of RMM and after that, will let you (reporters) know the decisions taken," Rajinikanth was quoted as saying by The New Indian Express.

Rajinikath claimed he could not meet members of the RMM as the shooting of his upcoming release Annathe had got delayed. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth also had gone to the US for a medical check-up and returned recently.

It had been widely speculated that Rajinikanth would have launched a political party and contested the recently held Assembly polls. However, concerns about his health were said to have forced him to abort his political journey.
