Two weeks after the Aam Aadmi Party alleged the Delhi Police had put Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal under house arrest, the party has claimed the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh was restricting the activities of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
Sisodia had arrived in Lucknow on Tuesday morning. He had challenged the Yogi Adityanath government to a 'debate' on the quality of the education model in Delhi versus the one in Uttar Pradesh.
The AAP Twitter handle claimed on Tuesday the convoy of Manish Sisodia had been stopped on the "directions of Yogi sarkar". The AAP claimed "Adityanath's police had stopped Sisodia from seeing government school in Uttar Pradesh". AAP alleged, "Whenever Adityanath is scared, he puts the police in front."
Sisodia had tweeted a video of what appeared to be a dilapidated school, which he claimed was "just 8km" from the office of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Last week, some ministers in the Uttar Pradesh government had alleged the AAP government had inflated its achievements in modernising government schools in Delhi.

Sisodia had accused Uttar Pradesh Minister Siddharth Nath Singh of using 'edited' news clips to show Delhi government schools in a poor light.
Sisodia's visit to Uttar Pradesh had attracted attention in light of the AAP decision to contest the 2022 Assembly polls in the state. Kejriwal had announced on December 15 that AAP would contest in Uttar Pradesh. Kejriwal said UP had been held back from progress and development because of "dirty politics" and "corrupt" politicians in the state.
