Four men, suspected to be snooping on ousted CBI director Alok Verma, have been arrested outside his official residence in New Delhi on Thursday. The four men were allegedly suspiciously lurking around the building and spying on Verma. The men were caught by his security personnel and handed over to Delhi police. A case has also been filed in the case. Further details are awaited.

Reportedly, the men were found sitting inside a car outside Verma's home. According to media reports, the police were called to Verma's home and the men were questioned.

Media reports claim that the men were carrying identity cards from the Intelligence Bureau, suggesting that the arrested men are from IB.

Earlier, unconfirmed reports had suggested that men suspected to be from the Intelligence Bureau were closely watching the movements of Verma, who was divested of his powers and sent on forced leave by the government on Wednesday. Verma's sacking came soon after he signed a similar order sending his deputy and CBI special director Rakesh Asthana on leave. The actions came in the backdrop of Verma launching an investigation against Asthana, accusing him of corruption.
