Malayalam actress Parvathy was mercilessly trolled and abised online after she expressed her opinions about misogynist scenes in Mammootty-starrer Kasaba. The Take Off actress had sought the legal path against cyber bullying and she still sticks to her opinion about the movie.

In an interview with manoramaonline, Parvathy said, “I cannot say that I am fully satisfied with what Mammootty said about the issue. However I am happy that he had addressed the issue.”

Parvathy said that she had sent a message to the megastar about the issues and Mammootty had replied that he was used to such incidents. She said that by then, the whole issue had blown out of proportion and transformed into something which affected everybody rather than just Mammootty and herself.

Days after the issue snowballed into a controversy, Mammootty had said that he had not entrusted anyone with the task of defending him or his roles. “Many advised me to restrain myself in voicing opinions publicly and said that there will be a lobby against me in the industry. But I cannot remain silent fearing I may lose opportunities in films. Cinema has been my world for the past 12 years. I came on my own.

Parvathy said that she was not ready to pretend meek and submissive.

The actress clarified that she would speak about the ‘casting couch’ in Malayalam cinema, and would also reveal the names of those who had approached her inappropriately in exchange for roles. Parvathy said that for such cases, strong evidence is require. She expressed doubt if she would get support from public if she revealed the names, in the present scenario.
