"The Vvaan – Force of the Forrest", starring Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, has collected ₹89.40 crore worldwide in its first 18 days in theatres. However, the fantasy thriller has seen a sharp decline in ticket sales during its second and third weeks. On Day 18 (the third Monday), the film earned just ₹0.35 crore net in India, a 65% drop from the previous day's ₹1 crore collection.
According to the reported box office data from Sacnilk, the film's total India net collection has reached ₹68.70 crore, while its domestic gross collection stands at ₹81.55 crore. Its overseas gross earnings have reached ₹7.85 crore, taking the worldwide gross collection to ₹89.40 crore.
On Day 18, the film earned ₹0.35 crore net in India and ₹0.05 crore gross from overseas markets. These numbers reflect its considerably weakened performance, with fewer people visiting theatres.
The film started its theatrical journey on a promising note. Its strongest performance came on Day 3, a Sunday, when it collected ₹14.35 crore net in India. The first week also proved successful, with the film earning ₹53.60 crore net domestically.
However, the momentum did not last. Collections declined during the second week and continued to decline in the third week. By its third Monday, the film was struggling to attract audiences to both single-screen cinemas and multiplexes.
The decline in ticket sales also affected the number of shows available. On the third Sunday, the film was screened across 1,559 shows. By Monday, this number had fallen to 1,505 as theatre owners adjusted their schedules to make room for newer films.
Despite having a reasonable number of shows for a film in its third week, "The Vvaan – Force of the Forrest" recorded just 9.57% national theatre occupancy on Day 18. This means that fewer than one in ten seats were occupied on average, highlighting the challenge of maintaining audience interest.
With its worldwide collection standing at ₹89.40 crore, the film remains ₹10.60 crore short of the ₹100 crore milestone. Its low daily earnings make this target increasingly difficult to achieve during its current theatrical run.
