Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia movie "The Vvaan – Force of the Forrest" concluded its second-week theatrical run with a  ₹12.20 crore net in India. The folk-based supernatural thriller has collected ₹86.32 crore worldwide in its first 15 days in theatres.

Despite a strong opening week, the film has seen a sharp drop in collections during its second week. It has started its third week with its lowest single-day collections so far on Day 15, collecting ₹0.55 crore from across 1,512 shows, registering an occupancy of 12%. Increased competition from "Drishyam 3", The Conclusion" and a reduction in the number of available shows have apparently affected its box office performance.

According to the reported figures from box office tracker Sacnilk, this Day 15 earnings marked a 26.7% drop from the ₹75 lakh it collected on Day 14.

With this latest collection, "The Vvaan - Force of the Forrest" has reached an India net total of ₹66.35 crore. Its India gross collection stands at ₹78.77 crore, while its overseas gross earnings have reached ₹7.55 crore. Together, these figures bring its worldwide gross collection to ₹86.32 crore.

Strong first week, weak second week

The film enjoyed a promising start at the box office. During its first week, it collected ₹53.60 crore net in India. Its opening weekend contributed ₹33.25 crore, showing strong audience interest in the early days. The film also performed well in certain Hindi-speaking regions, including Bihar, where its folk-thriller theme and the festive season helped attract viewers.

The situation changed considerably in the second week. Its India net collection dropped to ₹12.20 crore, denoting a 77.2% decline compared with the performance of the first week.

The reported production budget of "The Vvaan", including promotional expenses and other costs, is estimated at ₹75 crore to ₹80 crore (Wikipedia cites a ₹80-₹100 range). With its India net collection standing at ₹66.35 crore after 15 days, the film has yet to match its estimated budget through domestic theatrical earnings alone.

Its lifetime India net collection is projected to reach around ₹65 crore to ₹70 crore, although the final figure may change as its theatrical run continues. However, theatrical earnings are only one part of a film's overall revenue. Income from digital streaming rights, television broadcasts and music rights could help the producers recover some of their costs.

Overall, "The Vvaan – Force of the Forrest" started strongly but struggled to maintain its momentum. Its final commercial outcome will depend on its remaining theatrical collections and revenue from other sources.
