Salman Khan fans have something to be excited about. His upcoming film with Telugu hit filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally has enlisted the services of the Korean stunt team, led by Sea Young Oh, who also worked on the big-scale action epics such as "Dhurandhar", "Kill" and "War".
As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, the much-anticipated action thriller has also brought on board the prosthetic expert, Preetisheel Singh, who was also involved in "Dhurandhar". The entertainment portal quoted a source close to the team as saying, "The Korean action team is led by Sea Young Oh, popularly known as Mr Oh. He has worked on Dhurandhar, Kill and War, and is among the most celebrated action directors of world cinema. He has been working relentlessly with Salman Khan and Vamshi to create a new action experience for the audience."
The project, which has Nayanthara playing the female lead, promises Salman in a never-before-seen avatar, teasing an "intense" and "angry" persona. The source further added that the same stunt team was called to choreograph a huge action sequence. "Salman Khan will make a grand comeback with the Vamshi Paidipally film. Right from his looks, to the action and casting - everything has come together well," said the source.
Produced by Dil Raju, the as-yet-untitled film is aiming for a 2027 Eid release.
Vamshi made his directorial debut in 2007 with Prabhas-starrer "Munna" after working as an assistant and associate director on several films. He then directed NTR Jr in a commercially successful movie "Brindavanam". He followed it up with "Yevadu", starring Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, and Shruti Haasan. Then came the Tamil-Telugu bilingual "Oopiri / Thozha" (2016) featuring Nagarjuna and Karthi. It was an official adaptation of the French film "The Intouchables".
Then came the blockbusters "Maharshi" (Mahesh Babu) and "Vaarisu" (starring Vijay, it was Vamshi's full-fledged Kollywood debut).
Meanwhile, Salman has "Maatrubhumi" (formerly, Battle of Galwan), directed by Apoorva Lakhia, and co-starring Chitrangda Singh, coming up next. It is a patriotic war drama based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash.
