The second season of the Korean boxing revenge saga "Bloodhounds" returns after a gap of three years. Netflix will premiere the new chapter on April 3 for global subscribers. The first season saw the tale of two prizefighters joining hands to dismantle a notorious loan shark operation. The new story will see the duo take on an underground international boxing league.

Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-yi return as the two leads, Gun-woo and Woo-jin. The latter has the role of his coach and brother from another mother. Together, they will strive to encounter a difficult problem in the form of a ruthless new enemy: Baek-jeong (Jung Ji-hoon).

The official logline is as follows: "When reserved rookie boxer Kim Gun-woo squares off against loquacious southpaw Hong Woo-jin, Gun-woo narrowly prevails — but the two former marines become fast friends. As their friendship grows, so do the financial woes that plague Gun-woo’s mother. To save her quaint cafe from going under, she signs off on a hefty loan. But when it turns out she’s been targeted by Smile Capital — a ruthless loan shark business — Gun-woo and Woo-jin do everything in their power to make it right. Fate intervenes as the pair end up working for a generous money lender whose foster daughter is dead set on taking down the loan sharks."

Based on the webtoon of the same name ("Sanyanggaedeul" in Korean) by Jeong Chan, "Bloodhounds" Season 2 sees the return of its two leads, Woo Do-hwan as Kim Gun-woo and Lee Sang-yi as Hong Woo-jin, alongside actors Huh Joon-ho, Park Sung-woong, and Choi Si-won.
