Just a day after collecting Rs 100 crore in worldwide box office, Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra crossed Rs 50 crore on Thursday to enter the club in eight days.
Lokah Chapter: 1 Chandra raked in Rs 2.7 crore on Day 1, Rs 4 crore on Day 2, Rs 7.6 crore on Day 3, Rs 10.1 crore on Day 4, Rs 7.2 crore on Day 5, Rs 7.77 crore on Day 6 and Rs 7.1 crore on Day 7.
On Day 8, Lokah Chapter: 1 Chandra raked in Rs 8 crore as of 10 pm. The morning shows saw an occupancy of 45.57 per cent while afternoon shows were filled 53.62 per cent and evening shows 55.58 per cent. The total net domestic box office collection stood at Rs 54.35 crore as of 10 pm, according to Sacnilk.
Kalyani Priyadarshan plays the lead role as a superhero in Lokah Chapter: 1 Chandra, which is directed by Dominic Arun and produced by Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films. The film also has a star cast of Naslen, Chandu Salim Kumar, Arun Kurian and Santhi Balachandran.
The superhero film released in Hindi on Thursday, September 4, and is set to increase the number of shows per day. The upcoming Onam weekend is also likely to boost the earning of Lokah Chapter: 1 Chandra.
Dulquer himself took to X, posting, "The world of 'Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra' is expanding. Hindi version releases in theatres on September 4th! Book your tickets now."
In worldwide box office, Lokah Chapter: 1 Chandra is the third movie to rake in Rs 100 crore this year after Empuraan and Thudarum, both starred by Mohanlal.
