The radio station was started to disseminate news across the country, at a time when free press wasn't the norm. This is the first time Sara Ali Khan will be seen in a patriotic film. The movie has been produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra.

22-year-old Usha, a college girl from Bombay, is seen being warned by her grandmother, who says, “The British are merciless, they will kill you.” Towards the end of the trailer, Usha (Sara Ali Khan) is heard saying, "You may kill me if you wish to, but, as long as I am alive, this radio station won't shut down". The trailer also shows a British officer commanding his subordinate to find the person behind the radio station and hang them.

The film highlights the courage and resourcefulness of the youth during the freedom struggle. Sharing the trailer, Khan wrote, “Rising from the shadows of history, a tale of unyielding courage emerges”.
