'Jawan': Fans say Shah Rukh Khan-starrer is 'movie of the year', laud Atlee's 'mass' style

Fans of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan cannot contain their excitement as Jawan hit the big screens on Thursday. Taking to Twitter to share their reviews, netizens have called the actioner a 'mass entertainer'.

One of the most eagerly anticipated movies this year, the film helmed by Atlee also features Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in pivotal roles.

Many users have praised director Atlee for portraying Shah Rukh in multiple avatars, making the film a mass entertainer like the Tamil filmmaker's earlier works.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh called Jawan a hardcore masala entertainer that will conquer both hearts and the box office. "#Jawan is loaded with aces… Razor-sharp screenplay, attention-grabbing episodes, splendid action pieces, larger-than-life frames, peppy soundtrack, also the pace and energy never dips," he posted on X.

Film critic Sumit Kadel also hailed Atlee's 'mass appeal script which is rooted, emotional and inspiring.”

While one fan called in a 'cinematic masterpiece', another fan called it “one of the best action movies to come out in recent times.”

Shah Rukh also took to social media to thank the audience for the overwhelming love for Jawan. “Wow have to take time out and thank each and every Fan Club and all of you who have gone so happily in the theatres and even outside. So overwhelmed will surely do the needful as soon as I get my breath back in a day or so,” he wrote.
