The Pink City just got a little pinker. Bringing together a host of women—all accomplished—and certainly articulate is 'We The Women (WTW)', a festival of, for and by women being organised in Jaipur on March 4.

There is plenty to look forward to this time around. Actor-turned-politician Khushboo Sundar will be in discussion with Rajasthan legislative assembly member Divya Maderna in a session titled “Is Politics Still A Boys’ Club’’; actress Vidya Balan; actress Jahanvi Kapoor talking about “There’s Something About Jhanvi’’; businesswoman Ghazal Alagh who co-founded Mama Earth; Shweta Bachchan–daughter of superstar Amitabh Bachchan, as well as Geetanjali Shree, who won the International Booker Prize.

Neelam Krishnamurthy who has been at the forefront of the battle for justice for the Uphaar victims will also speak at the event. If she fought for her children, Latika Bansal led the fight to get her father arrested. Latika was 16 and lived with her father harassing her mother for not producing a boy. She was witness to her father setting her mother on fire. And it was her testimony, along with her sister’s that ensured that he went to jail.

Not only women, the forum also features Aditya Roy Kapur talking about masculinity. But perhaps, the showstopper of the event will be a video conversation with Hilary Rodham Clinton.

“We The Women marries classic story-telling with fabulous conversations,’’ said award-winning journalist, Founder-Editor of We The Women-the Definite Women's Forum in Asia Barkha Dutt.

The forum goes beyond just bringing women together, it is also a place that aims to begin serious conversations about the challenges women face, their lives, politics, their battles and finally, celebrate their voices. Till date, WTW has been to four cities – Mumbai (Maharashtra), Bengaluru (Karnataka), Kolkata (West Bengal) and Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), with more than 500 speakers.
