BTS member Jin gets promoted in military; fans elated

Millions of BTS fans were disheartened when band member Jin aka Kim Seokjin left to fulfill his mandatory military duty. However, they are now elated as Jin has reportedly been promoted to become Private First Class. He is the eldest member of the popular Korean band.

While BTS agency Big Hit is yet to conform any news on Jin's promotion, social media is abuzz with chatter on the same, with many user congratulating him.

"Congratulations Kim Seokjin for his promotion to "Private First Class" today!! We are all so proud of you!! 🥳🎉💜 He will have a two striped badge on his uniform compared to his one striped badge he's had since his enlistment!!," wrote a Twitter handle which claims to be a "community for BTS?Army fans".

"Seokjin got his first promotion today he got promoted to Private First Class. Congratulations Seokjin. We love you," a tweet from another handle read.

"Our moon is now promoted to Private First Class. 😭🌙 This is making me so so so proud of him. Its feels like yesterday i was crying over him leaving but he never disappoints," wrote another.

Another user called him a "superhero on the frontline protecting his country in the harshest weather."
