The last week of May is packed with interesting releases on streaming platforms. The most-anticipated release of the week is Season 4 of Stranger Things. Here is a quick look at movies, shows and documentaries releasing on OTT platforms this week:

Attack: ZEE5

Release date: May 27

John Abraham's action thriller, which released in theatres in April, is headed for its OTT release this week. Written and helmed by debutant director Lakshya Raj Anand, the film is based on a true story of a hostage crisis. Attack stars Abraham as a lone ranger who leads an attack team during a counter operation. Attack also features Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh.

Stranger Things Season 4: Netflix

Release date: May 27

One of the most eagerly awaited shows of the year, season 4 of Stranger Things will follow the lives of the characters in multiple locations like California and Russia as well as their native Hawkins. The show features Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke and others. In 2020, the streamer had confirmed that Harbour's Jim Hopper will return for the fourth season after the character had seemingly died towards the end of the third season, which premiered in July 2019.

Emergency: Amazon Prime Video

Release date: May 27

The satire thriller is directed by Carey Williams, with screenplay written by KD Davila. It is a feature-length adaptation of Williams and Davila's 2018 short film of the same name. Emergency premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival. The short film Emergency won the Special Jury Prize at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival and the Grand Jury Prize at the 2018 SXSW. “A group of young black and latino men come home to their worst nightmare: an unconscious white girl in their apartment,” reads the streamer's description.

Heropanti: 2: Amazon Prime Video

Release date: May 27

Directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film released theatrically in April. The film, a sequel to the 2014 actioner, also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tara Sutaria. Shroff described Heropanti 2 as a "complete entertainer", and said he had a great time working on the film, especially action sequences.
