South Korean boy band BTS on Tuesday bagged the first ever Grammy nomination for a K-pop band. The group— which includes RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—has been nominated for their track ‘Dynamite’ under the ‘Best Pop Duo/Group Performance’.

The first-time nominees shared on Twitter their livestreamed reactions to their 2021 Grammy nomination.

“Above all, ARMYs are the ones who helped this miracle come true – of us getting the Grammy nomination. Thank you always,” BTS said on Twitter, addressing the group’s fan base, known as ARMY.

Thousands of fans congratulated the group on their accomplishments.

‘Dynamite’, which released in August was the band’s first single sung completely in English. The song sent a record by becoming the the most-viewed video premiere on YouTube.

The award ceremony will be held on January 31, 2021.

BTS will perform live in South Korea on December 31, their first concert since cancelling a world tour in April since the pandemic.
