The team of James Cameron's highly anticipated Avatar sequel shared a behind-the-scenes look of a breathtaking underwater shoot. The photo features actress Kate Winslet, wearing weights around her waist, to keep herself submerged at the bottom of a water tank. She is also seen wearing a nose clip to help hold her breath, and giant wings across the length of her arms.

The official social media page of the film shared the photo, along with a caption that uses Kate's quote from her interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “I had to learn how to free-dive to play that role in Avatar, and that was just incredible. My longest breath hold was seven minutes and 14 seconds, like crazy, crazy stuff,”she had said about her preparation for the role.

Disney is scheduled to release Avatar 2 in theatres on December 16, 2022. Avatar 3 will be out in December 20, 2024. The fourth and fifth films fill follow in 2026 and 2028.
