Actor Vijay Sethupathi, who was last seen in Ka Pae Ranasingam, has been roped in to play Sri Lankan bowler Muttiah Muralitharan.
He confirmed the news by tweeting a poster of the film and said that he was honoured to be a part of this landmark project.

According to reports, the film is titled 800 and will be directed by MS Sripathy. The biopic will trace the struggles faced by the cricketer and his rise to popularity.
The film is jointly produced by Movie Train Motion Pictures and Dar Motion Pictures
Vijay Sethupathi, who was last seen in Ka Pae Ranasingam, will next be seen in the highly anticipated Master, starring Vijay. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Master is an action-thriller.
Th title ‘800’ is said to be a tribute to the number of wickets Muttiah Muralitharan has taken in Test cricket. Muttiah Muralitharan is the only cricketer to have taken 800 wickets in Tests.
Earlier, there were reports that Vijay Sethupathi has been taking cricketing lessons from Muralitharan.
