She said that it is upto her fans to figure out why Twitter India has taken the step. Her fans have been trending #BringBackPayal on Twitter, and have called suspension of her account ‘an attack on freedom of speech’.

“Neither do I abuse people nor do I use any wrong word for anyone. I obviously attempt to share facts, but this effort of mine has been projected in a bad light by liberals and people who are extremists, who control Twitter,” she said in the video.

Her account was recently suspended after she courted controversy with her tweets against Safoora Zargar. Rohatgi had also slammed actress Swara Bhasker and questioned why her account was not suspended after her remarks against Yogi Adityanath.

Last year, Rohatgi had criticised Swara and Richa Chadha for their open stand against the Citizenship Amendment Bill.
