Abhishek Bachchan on Thursday shared the trailer of Manmarziyaan in which he makes a return to the big screen after two years. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, this love story also features Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal.
“Love isn't complicated, people are.” This line from the trailer best defines this complex love triangle. Rumi (Taapsee Pannu) is in love with Vicky (Vicky Kaushal), but he is commitment-phobic and doesn't come home to ask for her hand in marriage. Enter the well-behaved 'perfect husband material' Robbie (Abhishek Bachchan).
While Taapsee Pannu looks comfortable in her happy-go-lucky role mouthing witty dialogues, it is Vicky Kaushal who is set to steal the show with his strikingly different avatar—lovestruck, funky hairstyles, and printed t-shirts. Abhishek, too, looks his best as a husband trying to get his wife to love him.
Coming from the maverick filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, we need to wait and see how he deals with the complexities of love and modern relationships. The film is scheduled to release on September 14.
