Twitter users can now create and broadcast live video directly with their tweets. Powered by Periscope, the video tool that Twitter introduced a year ago, "Live video on Twitter" allows people to share and experience their important moments as never before, through a Tweet.

The Twitter Blog announced a few days ago: "We're making it easier for you to share what's happening in your world."

To go live, compose a Tweet, then tap “LIVE” which brings you to pre-broadcast screen where you can frame your shot. When you’re ready, press “Go Live” to start broadcasting.Once you’re live, anyone on Twitter and Periscope can join your live video and participate in your experience.

Says Kayvon Beykpour, CEO of Periscope: "We started Periscope because we wanted to give people the superpower to share live video with an audience. Bringing this capability directly into the Twitter app is an important step because it brings that superpower to the hundreds of millions of people who use Twitter.”

Members of the audience within a live video on Twitter can interact with the broadcaster by commenting and sending hearts to show their support. Tweets that contain live video can be Retweeted, liked, and shared anywhere that people can share a Tweet. Details in this blog
