Rajgir, Oct 29 (PTI) Staging a CK Nayudu Trophy game at the newly built Rajgir International Cricket Stadium was an important step towards strengthening Bihar’s position on the national cricket map, its president Harsh Vardhan said.
Vardhan made his remarks on the sidelines of the ongoing four-day Elite Group match between Bihar U-23 and Baroda U-23 in the CK Nayudu Trophy.
“Hosting the Col. C.K. Nayudu Trophy match at the Rajgir International Cricket Stadium is an important step towards strengthening Bihar’s position on the national cricket map.
"Our focus is on providing young cricketers with quality platforms to showcase their talent, gain valuable match experience and prepare for higher levels of competition," said Vardhan in a Bihar Cricket Association statement.
Earlier this month, the stadium hosted its first ever Ranji Trophy fixture.
"The Bihar Cricket Association remains committed to developing cricket infrastructure across the state and creating more opportunities for emerging players.
"I am confident that such prestigious tournaments will inspire young cricketers in Bihar and contribute significantly to the growth of the sport in the state," he added.
