Hyderabad, Nov 7 (PTI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday said the development of the ‘Rural Agri-Region Economy’ Industrial Hub in Kodangal would create large-scale employment in the region.
Announcing that the radial road connecting Shamshabad to Kodangal, his assembly constituency, would be completed by December 2027, he said areas close to airports had excellent potential for industrial growth.
At the launch event, the CM met nearly 100 industrialists, a release said.
Representatives of the aerospace, defence, green technology, renewable energy, steel, copper, textile and agro-based sectors attended, along with delegates of industrial associations from Kodangal, the Hyderabad airport vicinity and other industrial clusters.
He virtually inaugurated the RARE Industrial Hub, the Network of Apparel Readiness and Infrastructure (NARI) Park, the THRIVE Hub and the Regional Industries and Small Enterprises (RISE) initiative.
Turning the region into a major industrial hub was not just his responsibility but also his dream, the CM said.
“My identity and self-respect are rooted in Kodangal,” he added.
He said the region was highly conducive to development and that essential infrastructure, including the road network, was being put in place.
He expressed happiness that several companies had already begun construction in the hub and that many more were coming forward to invest.
A ‘Kodangal Education Hub’ was also being developed over 250 acres, he said, to give future generations access to both education and employment.
Advanced Technology Centres (ATCs) were being set up in all constituencies, where students would be trained in collaboration with Tata Technologies, he said.
Courses tailored to the needs of various industries would be offered through the Young India Skills University, he added.
The government was ready to provide all resources needed to set up industries, and officials would offer continuous support, he said.
