New Delhi, Nov 4 (PTI) India and Poland have discussed ways to boost bilateral trade, investments and technology cooperation between the two countries, an official statement said on Wednesday.
The matters were discussed during the two-day visit of Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada to the central European nation. The visit concluded on November 3.
During the visit, Prasada met the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs of Poland Krzysztof Gawkowski.
The discussions focused on expanding bilateral cooperation in emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, data centres and cybersecurity, the commerce ministry said.
It added that Prasada held discussions on opportunities emerging from the India-European Union Free Trade Agreement (FTA), which will come into effect next year.
"Prasada emphasised the potential for greater cooperation in agri-tech and food processing and called for creating more opportunities for small and medium enterprises," it said.
During a meeting with Deputy Minister for Economic Development and Technology of Poland Michal Baranowski, the Indian minister deliberated upon ways to expand cooperation in critical minerals, semiconductors and startup partnerships.
The bilateral trade between the two countries grew 4.16 per cent to USD 4.04 billion (USD 2.8 billion and imports USD 1.25 billion) in 2025-26 from USD 3.88 billion in 2024-25.
