Get ready to groove to the ultimate party anthem

snoop-song A still from the song 'Woofer'

Get ready to groove to the year’s ultimate party anthem bringing together a beat like never before—combining the magic of Punjabi with Rap! The iconic Dr Zeus presents an all new track Woofer featuring none other than the risqué rapper Snoop Dogg rapping alongside UK based Punjabi singer Zora Randhawa.

The song, produced by BeingU Music and released worldwide by Sony Music, was shot in Los Angeles, California. Adding glamour to the video as well as lending her vocals to the song is the stunning actress Nargis Fakhri.

Talking about their first song launch and their vision for the label, the founders of BeingU Music—Gurjot Singh and Akshit Kumar—say, "Our aim is to take the Indian music industry to the global platform. Our first song Woofer is a personification for the same.”

Collaborating with talents like Dr Zeus and Snoop Dogg, actress Nargis Fakhri says, “I really enjoyed working with Dr. Zeus and Zora and the entire BeingU team. This was really an awesome experience. I grew up listening to Snoop Dogg, so when this came my way, I was completely thrilled to give it a shot and sing with someone as iconic as him. The song is super cool and I can’t wait for everyone to see the video and hear the entire song."

The concept behind the single is quite reflective of the entire song content of Dr. Zeus’ forthcoming album. “This is the first single from my album Global Injection and since I am doing an album after 10 years, I want it to be special and I also wanted to create a movement with this album. It is to take the Punjabi and Hindi languages outside India and to make our artistes realise we belong to main. I wouldn’t say the treatment of Woofer is different; it’s just more new age like what is going on in the music scene now by giving it the Zeus treatment,” says Dr. Zeus.

Zora Randhawa feels that this is one of the best Desi Hip Hop collaboration. “In this joint venture, we got Snoop Dogg, Dr Zeus and Nargis, and I have given my Punjabi vocals. We all have our respective international audiences and Nargis is a big name in Bollywood. I have watched her movies and have been her fan. It was great working with Nargis and she was really good in studios,” says Zora.
