Pakistan's Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Burkabal Shamshad Mirza has claimed that Pakistan had evidence of downing six Indian fighter jets and they have "shown the evidence to relevant stakeholders".

"The Pakistan Army shot down three Rafales, one Su-30, one Mirage 2000, and one MiG-29 and a drone," General Shamshad claimed in an interview with BBC Urdu.

Though he offered no evidence to back his claim, the official had no qualms waxing eloquent about it. "We are in 2025 and in this era, every weapon, and military equipment has a digital electronic signature we have all the evidence in this regard and we have shown this to the relevant stakeholder," he claimed. He provided no detail about who the "relevant stakeholder" was.

The general was also mum about the damages suffered in Pakistan by the Indian attack, though Pakistan revealed in its dossier that India struck more targets during Operation Sindoor than Pakistani forces acknowledged.

The dossier on Pakistan's Operation Bunyan un Marsoos says India struck Peshawar, Jhang, Hyderabad in Sindh, Gujrat in Punjab, Bhawalnagar, Attock and Chor. These sites were not mentioned by India.

The general also tried to deny the existence of terror camps in Pakistan, which were targeted by India on the night of May 7, claiming that the places targeted by India were all imaginary camps.

"India attacked six places inside Pakistan using missiles and drones and all these places were 'imaginary militant camps'. In fact, all these places were houses of civilians and some mosques, which were damaged and we lost innocent children and women in this Indian action," he added, while mentioning nothing about the evidence India released in this regard.

He, however, acknowledged that Pakistan did groom terrorists. "There were some problems here in the past, but Pakistan has eliminated more than 900 such places and mainstreamed all the people there. All these camps were built during the era of people like Sirajuddin Haqqani."

General Shamshad claimed that 'there is no such camp in Pakistan today".

He then said that the possibility of any future conflict between the two countries has increased to such an extent that the conflict between the two countries could take the form of a nuclear war at any time.
