A teen social media influence was fatally shot by her relative at her home in Islamabad on Tuesday. Police suspect that the murder was committed in the name of saving family honour.
Who was Sana Yousuf?
Identified as Sana Yousuf, the teen influencer was just 17. She had a million followers on TikTok and over 500,000 followers on Instagram. The content creator hailed from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Upper Chitral district. She was residing at Sector G-13 in Islamabad.
The suspect who was a relative of Sana had come to meet her at her home. He shot her twice in the chest at close range while having a conversation and fled the scene soon after the attack. "The assailant entered the residence, fired multiple shots, and fled immediately," said a police spokesperson.
