Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff said that Russia has lost in the Ukraine war strategically, operationally and tactically.

“Russia has lost strategically, operationally and tactically in its war in Ukraine,” Reuters reported quoting US Joint Chiefs Chair Army General Mark Milley. The General was addressing mediapersons after a meeting with NATO defence ministers in Brussels.

"Russia is now a global pariah and the world remains inspired by Ukrainian bravery and resilience. In short, Russia has lost; they've lost strategically, operationally and tactically", Milley was quoted saying by Reuters.

Ukraine on Tuesday renewed its appeal to Western countries for fighter jets to help frustrate Moscow's invasion, but the United States and its NATO allies and partners are more concerned about Kyiv's need for large amounts of ammunition as the war with Russia is set to enter its second year.

Ukraine demanded for fighter jets in the meeting. What NATO allies have on their mind, though, is how to keep up a steady supply of ammunition to Ukraine without depleting their own stockpiles.
