While campaigning for the Republican candidates ahead of the midterm elections next week, former US president Donald Trump has strongly hinted that he would run for the US presidential election in 2024. He is likely to announce the candidature by November 14, says reports.

Addressing one of the rallies in Iowa, Trump said that he would "very probably do it again" in 2024.

Ahead of the presidential election in two years, the political landscape in the US will be set with the midterms.

"I ran twice. I won twice and did much better the second time than I did the first," reported BBC quoting Trump.

"Getting million more votes in 2020 than I got in 2016. And likewise, getting more votes than any sitting president in the history of our country by far... And now in order to make our country successful, safe and glorious. I will very very very probably do it again... Get ready, " reported BBC.

Meanwhile, US president Biden campaigning for the midterms had reportedly held a meeting with senior advisors for the re-election campaign in 2024.

Also, there have been reports of Trump announcing his presidential candidacy on November 14. However, there was no official confirmation on any dates of announcement yet.

The New York Times reported that the campaign's core team is expected to be small at first, partly to avoid the swell of the 2020 campaign.
