Oman reports its first case of coronavirus

30 nations outside mainland China have been battling coronavirus

Two Omani women, who recently returned from Iran, are said to be battling the deadly coronavirus. They are Oman's first two cases of individuals who have been affected by the virus.

After the first two cases were reported, Oman immediately halted flights to and from Iran. The two patients were said to be in a stable condition.

The civil aviation authority said in a tweet that it was “suspending all civilian flights between the sultanate and the Islamic Republic of Iran starting today and until further notice.”

30 nations outside mainland China have been battling coronavirus including Iran, India, UK, France, Russia, Spain and Singapore.

The death toll in Iran due to the virus has now reached 12 and the number of confirmed cases is 47.

The World Health Organisation has called the virus outbreak an international health emergency, where the death toll in China has gone up to 2,592.
