Women get groped, slapped at Pakistan music festival

Only two out of five artistes got to perform at what was supposed to be a fun evening

There have been several incidents in the past where women have been sexually assaulted, groped, pinched at musical festivals. So, what is different about what happened at the Solis music festival in Pakistan? Known as the country's largest concert series, the event had to be cancelled after hundreds of people stormed the stage with counterfeit tickets. 

Even though there were barricades, interlopers broke through them while performance was in progress on Sunday at the venue at Islamabad. They climbed on the to the VIP side of the stage, which collapsed, injuring numerous guests. 

Several women have come forth with reports of being groped and even spat on post the chaotic incident. 

Only two out of five artistes got to perform at a night that ended up being a terrifying experience for many. Men too reported being molested. 

A horrified Instagram user posted images of her injured arm and recounted her ordeal of how she lost consciousness amidst the chaos and that a man was trying to snatch her bag. 

Another attendee, wrote on social media, how a man who touched her inappropriately, slapped her after she kneed him at his private parts.
